About Me

Ann AtkinsonI have practiced law in Colorado since 1986. My practice is limited to representing disabled people in Social Security disability claims, including both administrative proceedings and federal court appeals. I have a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and my law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. I am a past member the board of directors of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) representing the Tenth Circuit. I have taught seminars for that organization and the Colorado Bar Association on various topics related to Social Security disability law.

I was named a Top Lawyer by 5280 Magazine in 2015 and 2016.

 

In my off hours, I am a beekeeper, and I enjoy volunteering with service dog organizations such as Canine Companions for Independence and Paw Pals, as well as gardening, cooking, sewing, and kickboxing.
